Considering the severity of the Coronavirus and its contractibility, “Cruise for a Cause” was designed by Perri Lennon to allow people a safe and healthy way to protest. The recent losses of innocent African Americans—like George Floyd—at the hands of the obliged, inflicted pain upon many across America, like Perri and her family. Perri refused to allow the Coronavirus to limit her voice, and the voices of many others with similar views, to their social media platforms.
Since high school Perri has been passionate about advocating for causes that invoke justice and solidarity in her community and beyond. Perri’s senior year of high school, 2017-2018, she participated in many clubs like FBLA, the BEE Club, and Chick-fil-a Leadership academy--just to name a few. However, Perri was most passionate about her position as the President of BEE Club Inc. at Westlake High School, in which she helped organize meetings and workshops to help further empower other girls to become leaders in their communities. Since then, Perri went on to become a member on the board of the BEE Club Inc, continuing to pursue her passion for humanitarianism. Alongside her mother, father, sister, and brother, Perri plans on continuing to change the world for the better starting with Cruise for a Cause.
Today, siblings: Perri, Az, and Trey—with the help of their parents—have begun hosting weekly events for those that want to protect Black lives while also protecting their health. They understand the severity of mankind's health and the black community’s justice. The Lennon family’s mobile protests keep advocates socially distant while ensuring that their voices are still heard.
Join them in making a change! Cruise for a Cause!
Cruise for a Cause ATL's eighth event, the “Mental Health Awareness” ride, will take place on Saturday, November 21st. The convoy will advocate the severity of mental health and accompany their ride with a candle lighting—in honor of those lost or any struggles experienced in 2020. It is important that those of the community lean on one another in these tough times and recognize that no one is ever alone and it is important that mental illnesses be acknowledged.
This ride will be 100% peaceful and productive

BEE Club Inc. Becoming Empowered through Education is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides youth girls with the tools and resources to become organizational leaders in their schools and communities.
Based out of Atlanta, the organization was founded in 2013 with 100 girls at Westlake High School in Fulton County. Today, the organization has welcomed over 300 girls in Atlanta and is now expanding its program to Athens-Clarke County.
BEE Club aims to inspire the personal and professional development of female-identified students by teaching life-skills through leadership and community engagement. Through peer mentoring, life-skills learning, youth advocacy, and community collaboration, the organization hopes to empower youth girls to independently navigate life both inside and outside of the classroom.
